A great example of a mud room

Here�s what you can do with an auxiliary entry.  This is the entry that the family uses all the time.  Kid�s come in, take off their shoes, drop off their coats and backpacks.  You might put it in between the garage and the kitchen, maybe there is a door to the laundry room where dirty sports clothes can be left before emerging into a clean home.  It�s got the dog dish, perhaps the litter box, maybe even a pet door to the outside.   It�s something to include in your project program if you�re designing a family home and still want a nice formal entry way unsullied by kid detritus.  This was designed by Salt Lake City Architectural firm Renovation Design Group.  They specialize in home renovations.
