Michael Jacksons Final Home Contents Up for Auction
Two years after Michael Jacksons death, the King of Pop still commands the news. Days ago, Jacksons personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of MJ and just yesterday it was announced the contents of Michael Jacksons last home the massive Holmby Hills estate he was renting when he died will be sold in a live auction.
Despite the lure of Jacksons personal possessions, the official press release does not mention the singer at all but focuses on the history of these items, explained celebrity auctioneer and Juliens Auctions president Darren Julien to the Associated Press.
Among the auction items is a chalkboard with a message scrawled on it by one of Jacksons children, which is expected to fetch over $400. Additionally, upholstered chairs smudged with Jacksons makeup and the bed where Jackson died will also be auctioned. The auction is planned for December 17 and a limited-edition auction catalog is available for pre-sale for $100. Other items include 18th century paintings, Louis IV furniture and 19th-century sculptures.
Michael Jackson leased the gated mansion at 100 North Carolwood Drive and its furnishings from December 2008 up to his death June 25, 2009 with his three children while he prepared for his world-wide comeback tour.
Previously MLS-listed on the Holmby Hills real estate market for $28,995,000, Jacksons leased home is also currently for sale for an undisclosed price, not through the auction. The 7-bedroom, 13-bathroom mansion is a French Chateau-style home with similar furnishings to that of Jacksons Neverland Ranch. Contents from Neverland Ranch were sold by Juliens Auctions in April 2009.
Although often controversial, Michael Jackson was undeniably one of the U.S. top performing artists with the record for biggest album sales for 1982's Thriller and the title of most-awarded singers with multiple Grammy awards and 13 Billboard number-one hits.

Singer R. Kelly Facing Foreclosure on Mansion
Although he has a Grammy under his belt and several No. 1 hits like I Believe I Can Fly and Bump N Grind, R&B singer R. Kellys homehas been hit with a foreclosure suit.
According to Crains Business Chicago, R. Kelly given name Robert S. Kelly hasnt made his monthly mortgage payment in over a year on the property in Olympia Fields, IL.
The complaint states that Kelly owes $2.9 million on his 11-year-old mansion. The original loan was issued in 1999 for $3.5 million but due to dropping home values, Kellys custom home is now worth less than the amount he owes.
Sources quoted in the article say that the singer-songwriter hasnt lived in the Chicago-area home for over a year and he has decided to move out and stop making payments in an effort to force his lender to make a loan modification. Essentially, hes doing a strategic foreclosure.
Despite a pending foreclosure suit, Kelly is by no means in financial straits, a spokesman told the Associated Press.
As noted by Business Insider, celebrities commonly face foreclosure but are rarely evicted.
When it comes to celebrity foreclosures it appears to be one of two things. One: the celebrity is living outside of his or her meansOr two: instead of paying mortgage payments they splurge onother perks reserved for the rich and famous.
Kellys 11,140-square-foot mansion is located just over 30 miles outside Chicagos city center. The 3.7-acre property is completely gated and includes a large circular driveway, pond and fountain and guest house on the property grounds.
This isnt the first time the singer-songwriter has had legal issues. In 2008, he was acquitted on child pornography charges and last month, his former manager sued Kelly for breach of oral contract and fraud.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn's Tribeca House Now Just $12.5M
Guess the whiff of scandale hasn't done much for the sales prospects of 153 Franklin Street, the now-notorious Tribeca townhouse rented by Dominique Strauss-Kahn for the duration of his house arrest earlier this year. The place, the product of a Leopoldo Rosati renovation, was previously for sale at aPriceChopped ask of $13.995 millionand it's been hanging out with the PriceChopper again. The new ask is $12.5 million, a cut of 11 percent, or $1.495 million. The home's still for rent at a cool $50,000/month. If anyone needs a house arrest home base, full gallery right over here.

Gwyneth Paltrows House in the Hamptons
by HOOKEDONHOUSES on AUGUST 28, 2008

This was the last cover of House & Garden before the mag folded late last year. Since House & Garden is now gone and so is its website, I thought Id show the photos of her Hamptons house for those of you who missed them. I think her house looks like it belongs to her, which is always refreshing when it comes to the big-time celebs. Take a look and let me know if you agree.
Apples bedroom:
Im sure you know shes married to Chris Martin of Coldplay, and that they have two children together, Apple and Moses (if there were ever two sibling names that dont seem to really go together). Moses is her fathers Hebrew name. Bruce Paltrow died of throat cancer in 2002.
Gwyneth seems to be one of those celebs people either love or hate. I like her if for no other reason than that Emma is one of my favorite movies:
(Anyone else got a crush on Mr. Knightley?)
