Hitting the rental market in recent days is a massive Chicago, Illinois co-op owned by none other than former television talk show host and cable network proprietor, Oprah Winfrey. For the tidy sum of $15,000-a-month, one can reside in Oprah�s grand Beaux Arts-style home, although it should be noted that the celebrity media mogul has never actually lived in the building. No, according to the Chicago Tribune, Oprah has chosen not to move into the co-op she paid $5.6 million for in 2006, opting to instead remain situated in her colossal downtown condominium (and her $50 million Montecito palace and her Hawaiian �farmhouse� and a slew of other multi-million dollar properties that she owns).

Located in the historic East Lake Shore Drive District, Oprah�s Streeterville spread measures in at approximately 4,607-square-feet � 1,241-square-feet of which are dedicated to a master suite complete with his and her bathrooms � and enjoys spectacular views of the Chicago Harbor. As to be expected with an Oprah-owned home, the sixth-floor co-op features many of the finer things in life within, including a splendid grand foyer that gives way to an expansive living room, wood-trimmed library, formal dining area, solarium, wine room, butler�s pantry and custom-designed kitchen.

Kirstie Alley�s Oceanfront Cottage For Sale on Maine Island

Kirstie Alley has never been afraid to reinvent herself, from acting on sitcoms and in movies to poking fun at herself on her �Fat Actress� reality show; from Jenny Craig weight-loss spokesperson to second-place winner on �Dancing with the Stars.�

I like how she kind of marches to the beat of her own (slightly eccentric) drum, even when it comes to decorating. Her Islesboro beach house in Maine is unapologetically girly, filled with pink walls and floral fabrics. According to Realtor.com, it�s on the market for $2.35 million, so let�s take a look!

The 3,100 square-foot clapboard cottage sits on 16 lush acres on an island in Penobscot Bay.

I would never think to paint my kitchen pink, but I think hers is fun. I�m suddenly craving cupcakes.

It kind of reminds me of Minnie Mouse�s pink kitchen at Disney World that I showed you last year. (Did you know they took Minnie and Mickey�s houses down to make room for new attractions at the Magic Kingdom? So sad they�re gone!)

Have you seen Kirstie lately? She�s lost over 100 pounds since she was on �Dancing with the Stars� and looks amazing. Hardly recognized her when I saw this photo.

She loves to decorate. We got a tour of her Kansas house on Oprah a few years ago.

I�ve seen some disparaging comments on the Internet about the way this place is decorated and how much money it would cost to redo it all. Without the furniture, though, it would only take some paint and/or wallpaper to tone things down. Would you love it as is or need to make some changes?

The island is only reachable by ferry, boat, and air, so it�s very private.

Oprah Winfrey Alpine NJ Mansion

The New York Post is reporting that Oprah Winfrey is eyeing a $68 million mansion in Alpine, New Jersey.

On a house-hunting trip in Northern New Jersey, Oprah Winfrey checked out last week one of the country's priciest listings: developer Richard Kurtz's Alpine mansion.



Alpine last year was named by Forbes magazine as the most expensive ZIP code in the country.

The estate, the most expensive in Alpine, has 19 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, walnut and marble floors and Venetian plaster walls.



It features a carriage house, English gardens, a library, ballroom, movie theater, tennis court, saline pool and wine cellar.

Rob Lowe�s Cozy Beach House

Did you happen to see Rob Lowe on �Oprah� last week, talking about his new autobiography, The Stories I Only Tell My Friends? I tuned in because I�m reading the book right now and was interested in what he had to say about it.

I was excited when he gave a tour of both his main home in Santa Barbara (which has been featured in Architectural Digest) and their cozy beach house, which is only 18 feet wide.

For those of you who missed it, here are a few screenshots I took during the show:

He says things are kept very casual in the beach house because they have kids and dogs and there�s always sand on the floor.

He worked on his book in this room, writing it all out by hand:
