Frederick C. Webha Lists A Second Beverly Hills Home For $7.995 Million (PHOTOS)

Real estate investor Frederick C. Wehba is famous in Los Angeles for creating one of the most lavish homes ever to grace Sunset Boulevard. His elaborate dream home hit the market in 2010 for $68.5 million and cost a reported $65 million to build. That home remains on the market for $55 million.

Wehba II, who serves as chairman and CEO of Bently Forbes, a commercial real estate firm, has also listed another more modest (at least by Webha standards) home in Beverly Hills for $7.995 million. This home on the bucolically-named Green Acres Drive features five bedrooms in 9, 163 square feet of space, less than a third the space offered in the 36,000-square-foot Sunset Boulevard mansion.

Wehba appears to have a style: he likes his homes Frenchified and fancy. Perhaps he found some sources of inspiration in this villa located not far from the larger home. This home, built in 1987 has high ceilings, intricate moldings and leaded and beveled glass doors and windows.



The home opens with a dramatic entry with 25-foot ceiling, crystal chandelier and a sweeping staircase with an iron bannister.



The first floor includes a reception room, living room, formal dining room, powder room, and a cook�s kitchen with professional appliances, butler�s pantry and a stained glass skylight.



The first floor also features a maid�s room with bath, wine storage, a gym with a bath and sauna and the lovely rotunda breakfast room which is a charming spot to begin your day as a real estate mogul.



The second level is where you find the master suite with dual closets and a large bathroom as well as three additional family suites and a media room with a bar area.

The .61 acre lot includes a backyard with a large patio, built-in barbecue, fountain, pool and spa. No word yet on where the real estate investor will hang his hat next but it�s certain to be spectacular.

Rihanna's Beverly Hills CA mansion - Rihanna Gets Mad and Sues A Lot of People

Gossip juggernaut TMZ and others reported today that four time Grammy winning superstar Rihanna is hella heated up and hopping mad about (alleged) construction defects that affect the livability and value of the the big ol' Beverly Hills, CA mansion she bought back in September of 2009. The music industry phenom and tabloid headliner is so furious she's filed a lawsuitagainst just about everyone who had anything to do with the construction and transactional due diligence of the high-priced property.

Property records and previous reports show the Barbadian bombshell�n�e Robyn Fenty�paid $6,900,000 for her newly constructed/renovated contemporary crib dramatically situated on a promontory at the tail end of a curling cul-de-sac in the Beverly Crest neighborhood.

Riri's lawsuit filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court encompasses a handful of causes of action including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of contract, and breach of implied warranty. The lawsuit claims the seller�named in the lawsuit as Heather Rudomin�was (or should have been) aware but failed to disclose major waterproofing and construction defects that resulted in significant damage to the fancy mansion after what the legal documents called a "moderate rainstorm" in January 2010. The lawsuit claims that the defects devalue the house by millions less than what the sartorial daredevil paid for the place and Riri wants some of her money back plus attorney's fees.

TMZ reported that along with former owner Adrian RudominMiss Riri's lawsuit also names a number of others including the property inspector, the engineers who worked on the house, and at least one of the real estate agents involved in the transaction,Shelley Brown of Prudential California Realty who represented Miss Riri in the purchase. Redfin shows the property was listed at the time of the sale with Joyce Rey, one of the highest of the high-powered grande dames of Platinum Triangle real estate. Miz Rey is not named in the suit.

Listing information from that time Miss Riri purchased the property shows the gated contemporary crib sits heavily on .86 hill top acres at the tail end of a short cul-de-sac and measures more than 10,000 square feet over three floors with 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms

The heart of the hulking house is a dramatic airplane hangar-sized living/dining area with milk-chocolaty hardwood floors, fireplace, towering walls of glass with city to ocean views, and glass-railed bridge that connects two second floor wings of the modern mansion. Other interior spaces include a den/family room with fireplace, eat-in kitchen with not just one but two gigantic center islands, office, staff quarters, art studio, fitness room, media/music room, wine cellar and home theater with wide screen and state-of-the-art projection equipment.

The gated grounds encompass a tight motor court with two-car attached garage, flat lawn the narrows to a small sun deck with city and ocean views, and a small swimming pool and spa surrounded by an entertainment terrace and deck cantilevered over the canyon.

Anyone want to take bets that regardless of the outcome of her legal matters Little Miss Riri will soon if she doesn't already desire new digs, preferably one not freighted with the psychic weight of judicial trauma?

Fashion designer Vera Wang has picked up a stylish Mid-Century Modern in Beverly Hills, paying a reported $10 million for the glass and steel hill-top home. [via WSJ]

The 4 bedroom, 4 bath, built in 1967,  is all about glass walls and spectacular views. Perched on a hill above Coldwater Canyon, the property overlooks the L.A. basin, with views from downtown to the sea. From dusk to dawn, amazing city lights views are an invitation to grab the good stuff from the bar and settle down to watch the city living below you.

Inside, the home features high ceilings, window walls, clean lines, and an open plan layout. A huge family room, living room, and 30 seat screening room round out the house.

Vera Wang is best known for her wedding gown collections. She has also served as Senior Fashion Editor at Vogue, been a judge on �Project Runway�, and was once  a figure skater.

Taylor Swift was recently named "entertainer of the year" by the Academy of Country Music Awards. To celebrate, she bought a new house. Isn't that what you would do?
Pop country star Taylor Swift is on the move. The 22-year-old singer just plunked down $3.97 million for a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom house in Beverly Hills, California. The home is unusual for the West Coast -- It's a classic New England-style colonial. 


No doubt that Swift was drawn to the home since it's set back an acre from the road behind private gates. Imagine rolling lawns, french doors that open up to a patio and overgrown arbor, and tennis courts.

While there's plenty of living space for the singer to entertain and write music, the backyard is lacking one thing -- A pool! I guess Ms. Swift prefers the beach.
